Starring Patrick Brice, Mark Duplass
2014 / 82 Minutes / Sony Pictures Home Entertainment

“Oh great, another found footage horror movie. AND they’re in the woods!”

This is what you may be thinking when you’re endlessly scrolling through Netflix to find something, please God anything, to watch when you stumble upon Creep.

It stars Mark Duplass (famous for his “mumblecore” films and TV show The League) and some other dude that I’ve never heard of who also directs the movie. I was surprised at how creepy and suspenseful it was; one scene in particular had me actually yelling at my laptop. They’ve done something a bit inventive with the found footage trope here, which was refreshing and kept me guessing as to where the story would end. The further I’ve gotten away from the film, the more I realize what the filmmakers were trying to do with the genre and I can’t wait to watch it again.

Another plus is the super short run time so if you’re a fan of horror you definitely need to check this one out!
