Well duh, of course this isn’t a good movie! It’s a PG story with an R rated situation thrown into it. This had disaster written all over it from page 1. Who thought this was going to work? The premise is original and I like the idea, but you can’t do this and not give the audience what they are expecting from a movie called Sex Tape.
Cameron Diaz recycles her same old gross out comedy self and Jason Segel with his same old… but way too thin naked self. The usual comedy supporters show up to lend an unwelcome hand to the story. Doing all their usual schtick that we’ve seen in numerous other movies.
There’s not much here to laugh at, it’s more of an uncomfortable viewing experience especially when the kids become involved in the plot. Why??? There’s no laughs here… it’s proof all you need is big names attached to a bad script and anything can get made. Avoid! This mess did not work!
