I really don’t understand the appeal of this movie with audiences. This has been done a hundred times before and a much better. I can’t even fathom this being a good book! This is just a bigger budget Lifetime movie.
I was yelling at the screen at how ridiculous and bad the writing is. One particular scene, in Anne Frank’s house, was so offensive and tasteless, some may argue that with me, but I was appalled by the utter disrespect! Let’s just have a make out session at Anne Frank’s house! UGH!
I really went into this movie thinking it can’t be that bad, everyone is talking about how great it is it. I tried and an hour into the movie I couldn’t believe this was the same movie people were gushing over. Maybe someone can explain it to me, but there’s no way my mind will change that this is going to be on my list as one of the worst films of the year and I’m just going to write this movie off as not for me.
